Twinks from the Hood Review:
Like twinks? Choco loco? You might want to haul yer ass over here and check the selection. But before unpacking yer bags and settling in the hood, make sure you’ll enjoy the scenery first.
I have to admit though, I found the sample photos in the tour page quite tempting. Shimmering black skin and muscles go a long way as I figured. However, since it comes from the same network that has given us letdowns like Bangkok Bangers, Gay Thrills, Teenage Twinks, I kinda held my breath – and expected the atrocious.
In this case, it’s not that so big a disappointment. It might be kinda lame to focus on a site’s color scheme instead of content – but like I said, in some cases, presentation can do wonders. And as for Twinks from the Hood, I find the sleek red and metallic coal-grey combo charming and visually appealing. Small comfort perhaps but it makes our stay with the bruthas in this hood more hmm let’s say - riveting.
The site has a total of about 2500 images (at an average pixel size of 466 x 720, 150 dpi) of chocolate madness. Aside from getting yer sticky hands on these well-hung twinkies you’ll also be feasting yer eyes on a number of muscled ebony gods. There are a couple of interracial sets thrown in for good measure too, in case you find the three photo categories lacking.
Like its sister sites though, the photos are nothing new and have been taken from other sites that have come before it. Gay adult star Jeremy Tucker for example appears in three sets under different pseudonyms. Again, for a photo-heavy site, it’s a wonder why site designers have failed to include a once click compressed folder to download. For impatient and lazy buggers like me, saving the images the traditional way is as unappetizing as pickles on ice cream. Some pictures may date back to pre 9/11 but they’re still keep worth keeping nonetheless. Tee hee.
As for video freaks, I hate to repeat myself but yeah, there are no vids for downloading.
To compensate, there’s a number of free streaming vids that you can check out and might enjoy and one more good thing about Twinks from the Hood is that there’re 15 other sites in the network that you can access with the same log in details. I especially recommend the reality sites.
Overall, Twinks from the Hood is not as bad as a couple of its sister sites. Me thinks it’s a good place to rummage for old sets you missed/failed to download before. I would have given it a higher score though if only they had more content.
